Powerserve Wins 9 Addy Awards

Posted under More About Us, Office News, Our Work on February 12th, 2010 by Patrick Rodgers

Congratulations to the entire Powerserve design department for winning 9 Addy Awards. This year is extra special because it marks the first time we won a Gold Addy award.

The ADDY Awards truly represent “the best of the best of the best” in advertising. Held annually by the American Advertising Federation of Augusta, the Augusta ADDY Awards is the first of a three-tiered national competition. Local winners compete against other winners within their regions in one of 14 district competitions. District winners move on to the National ADDY Awards competition.

Congratulations to the entire team! Here’s hoping we’ll better our winning record in 2011.

Posted under Office News on August 4th, 2008 by Jeff Partl

019 by cd.harrison, on FlickrKnowing he was going to Las Vegas the last week of July, Mike Leaptrott (aka “Jackie Moon”) took it to his competition early. By the time he boarded the plane, he had posted almost 50 miles and held a 9 mile lead over Flobi.

While Mike was gambling Flobi was planning his comeback. By the time Mike returned on July 30th, Flobi held a slim .02 mile lead. Both competitor walked on the 31st, but when the clock struck midnight Flobi was victorious. Flobi went 54.67 miles and Mike went 51.39 miles.

Flobi issued a challenge when he was presented with the trophy. He shouted, “Let’s see if [you] b*stards can do 90 [miles]!”

Biggest Loser Challenge gets a “carrot”

Posted under Office News on July 23rd, 2008 by Jeff Partl

There has been little or no excitement surrounding the Biggest Loser challenge.  So I thought I would give all the competitors a little “carrot”.  We are going to an official weigh in on July 31 at 9:30 a.m.  The person who has the greatest percentage weight loss from their original weight (as recorded by Chris) will receive a crisp $20 bill from yours truly.  This will be repeated each month to keep it interesting.

Flobi scalps the competition in June

Posted under Office News on July 15th, 2008 by Jeff Partl

It would be a stretch to call the June Fitness Challenge a competition. In reality, only Flobi decided to show up. He won going away by walking 55 miles. New competitor, Mark Barkley, came in second with 25 miles walked. Mike Leaptrott edged out Scott Villemain for third place with 15 miles walked.

Mark has been seen mysteriously leaving the office through the day. Mark was very evasive when asked about his whereabouts. He simply said, “I would not bet against me winning in the coming months”.

Mike Leaptrott reminded everyone he won May’s competition by hanging the trophy around his neck like a medallion. On at least two occasions he was seen around the office holding his trophy with the theme song from the movie “Rocky” blaring in the background.

When asked about his office antics Mike answered, “I needed to do something to motivate my competitors. I think it worked. When asked why he only walked/ran 15 miles in June he replied, “Just wait until July.

With Mike back on track, Flobi in the zone and Barkley in the competition, July looks like it could be a heck of a race.

Stay tuned!
